2017 Homecoming

St. Charles Catholic High School students and alumni recently celebrated homecoming.  The opening prayer was led by SCC Advisory Board member, Mr. Jeremy St. Pierre, class of 1989, and the singing of the National Anthem was led by Marcy Bordelon, class of 2004.

The celebration included a motorcade featuring the homecoming court wearing suits and riding in shiny convertibles, an alumni cook-off, followed by the crowning of the homecoming queen took place at halftime.  The SCC Homecoming Court members were voted on by their peers.  

The SCC Homecoming Court and Alumni Escorts included Eighth Graders Jada Arment escorted by Grant Authement, Class of 2010 and Julia Gilberti escorted by Ryan Milioto, Class of 1996.  Freshman representatives included Antoinette Chiarella escorted by Andrew Pregeant, Class of 1991 and Kayla Crump escorted by Councilman Thomas Malik, Class of 1981.   Sophomore representatives included Gisela Cabrera escorted by Adam Gros, Class of 2000 and Kirstin Wilson escorted by Casey Robottom, Class of 2006.   Junior representatives included Kehara Hill escorted by Councilman Michael Wright, Class of 2008 and Eden Simoneaux escorted by Michael Rollo, Class of 2002.   

There were a total of six senior members of the 2016 Homecoming Court, who were also escorted by alumni. The senior court members and their escorts included Courtney Borne escorted by Brian Beadle, Class of 1987; Jade Brady escorted by Brady Hitt, Class of 2011; Jori Bryant escorted by Billy Roussel, Class of 1990; Dominique Perilloux escorted by Lt. Andy Breaux, Class of 1985; Zyriel Robertson escorted by Derrick Gaubert, Class of 2002; and Pylar Zeringue escorted by David Matherne, Class of 2007.  

Senior Jade Brady, daughter of Jamie and Shantele Brady, was crowned St. Charles Catholic’s Homecoming Queen. Jade has been a five year member of the Student Ambassadors and the French Cub, where she currently serves as Secretary. She has been a member of the National Honors Society and Beta Club for three years and is also involved in FCA, the Retreat Team, and Eucharistic Ministry. Jade has also participated in softball and volleyball for the last five years. 

Jade stated, “It is truly an honor to be chosen as the St. Charles Catholic 2017 Homecoming Queen. I feel incredibly blessed to represent the school I have grown to love so much over the last five years, and I'd like to thank my fellow classmates and SCC family for all of their love and support through this amazing experience."  

Senior Dominique Perilloux, daughter of Jeff and Alicia Perilloux, was named as the Maid of Honor.  She has been a member of the Student Council for the past four years and is currently serving as Secretary.   Dominique is also a member of the Beta Club, National Honor Society, ACT 30 Plus Club, and Retreat Team.  She is also a Cheerleader and member of the swim and tennis teams.  

The football team had a big win over Donaldsonville for Homecoming 2017.  

St. Charles Catholic High School also welcomed Alumni cheerleaders and Starsteppers to cheer and dance at the game, and they did an awesome job.  The Annual Alumni Cook-Off was also held that night.  Alumni cooks served great food from fish tacos to shrimp alfredo. The cook-off winners this year were “The Murphy’s” sponsored by Mike and Giselle Murphy.  They served a delicious dish of shrimp and crab cream sauce over fried fish.  

St. Charles Catholic High School Homecoming 2017 was truly a place where friends, faith, and football came together all in one night!
