iGiveCatholic
#iGiveCatholic is an online giving event for people across the nation (and the world!) to come together to raise as much money as possible for Catholic parishes, schools, and ministries on one day: #GivingTuesday, November 29, 2016. Last year, Mr. and Mrs. Flynn were the first to log-on early in the morning and give to SCC through iGiveCatholic.org.
Two weeks from today, the Catholic Foundation of New Orleans is hosting our country’s second ever online giving day for Catholics: iGiveCatholic. Secure, tax-deductible donations will be accepted at:
https://igivecatholic.org/designee/st-charles-catholic-high-school
for a 24 hour period on November 29th. The good news is that all funds donated on that day on behalf of our school will go directly to St. Charles Catholic’s United in Faith Capital Campaign. The funds collected will be marked for the furnishings of our new chapel. We are pleased to announce that construction will begin in the near future.
Parents, we realize that you give all year long, but we are asking that you consider at least a $25 gift on this day and that you spread the word to alumni, grandparents, friends, and neighbors who believe in Catholic education and would like to help SCC remain the spiritual and educational leader in the River Parishes.
We are strongly encouraging all parents who have not yet given to our United in Faith Capital Campaign to prayerfully consider making an on-line donation on November 29th. If every St. Charles Catholic High School family gives $25, we will raise just over $8,000 in just 24 hours. If every SCC family gives $100, we will raise just over $30,000! You can watch our fund-raising efforts live on November 29th at igivecatholic.org. In addition, the first 10 donors this year will receive one “SCC Graduation 2017” entrance ticket!
To sum it all up, Friday after Thanksgiving is known as “Black Friday.” Monday following Thanksgiving is known as “Cyber Monday.” Not as well known, but very important, is that the Tuesday following Thanksgiving is known as “Giving Tuesday.” Archbishop Aymond, has asked all Catholics, and those who support Catholic schools, organizations, non-profits, etc. to take part in “Giving Tuesday.” All of the details can be found via the web at igivecatholic.org.
Thank you for being a part of the St. Charles Catholic High School family. Follow us on Facebook so you can share in the excitement of our day of giving and remember to give Catholic on Tuesday, November 29th.
