St. Charles Catholic High School is proud to present additional information about the valedictorians and salutatorians of the 2024 graduating class.
 
Katherine Sera Bergeron, the daughter Chris and Deidre Bergeron, finished with a GPA of 4.85. She plans to attend Louisiana State University to pursue a degree in Biology (Pre-Med) with the intention of becoming an OBGYN. In her senior year, Katherine served as President of the National Honor Society and Vice President of the Student Council Executive Board. She was also an active member in Retreat Team and Eucharistic Ministry. She is a member of the ACT 30 Plus Club, and she earned All Academic Composite honors for Varsity Soccer, Volleyball, and Tennis. She also participated in both the district and state literary rallies for Civics.
 
Katherine received the TOPS Honors Scholarship in addition to other scholarships and awards totaling over $120,000. She is a recipient of the Knights of Columbus Catholic Youth Leadership Award, the All-Star Foundation Award, and awards from both Louisiana State University and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. When asked about her time at SCC, Katherine said, “SCC has given me a great foundation of faith and education. I loved these two halls and all the lifelong friendships I have made in them. Being a Comet is an extraordinary experience and I am so thankful for my high school years."
 
 
Lily Marie Bordelon, the daughter Keith and Michelle Bordelon, finished with a GPA of 4.79. She plans to attend Loyola University in New Orleans to pursue a degree in Communications with the intention of becoming a journalist. In her senior year, Lily served as President of the Student Council Executive Board and Vice President of the World Language Club. She was also an active member of the National Honor Society, Music Ministry, SCC Stagehands, and Tennis Team. She also participated in both the district and state literary rallies for Civics.
 
Lily received the TOPS Honors Scholarship in addition to other scholarships and awards totaling over $267,000. When asked about her time at SCC, Lily said, “There is something beautiful about being part of a school where you know everyone by name and consider them family. I am proud to call myself a Comet."
