The boys have their Senior Night in our own SCC gym at 5 pm. Students can enter this regular season game for free with a student ID.

Our girls are competing in their first playoff game of the year tonight at 7pm. Since this is a playoff game, the gym will be cleared and guests must re-enter before this game begins. Students must pay to attend this LHSAA event.

Higher Love Lenten Retreat for Young Ladies

If you're ready to take your Lent to the next level, then consider signing up for the Higher Love Retreat, hosted by SJA's Youth Ministry, the Ascent!

We'll meet from 6:30 - 10 pm and focus on how we can choose Christ's higher love over the temptations around us.

PLUS - we'll have some awesome 80's themed fun. Click here to get more details and register!

***You do not have to be an SJA parishioner or be Catholic to attend.

Join us every Thursday for Chapel during lunch! This is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with your other Comets in the presence of our Lord, learn more about Christ, and pray together as a community.

Thursday, February 25, our Chapel Thursday will be focused on Black History Month.

Service Hours Reminder
All SCC students are required to serve a minimum of 15 hours of service in order to pass their Religion class. Many students have begun to turn in and complete their service hour requirements which are due at the end of the third nine weeks.
Please be reminded that because of Covid-19, there have been revisions to our service program requirements. Unlike in the past, students are now allowed to perform tasks such as:
Assistance to an individual person, e.g.—babysitting
Yard work for neighbor
Caring for grandparent
Grocery shopping for a grandparent or elderly neighbor
This can ONLY count for service hours if no monetary compensation was received. This is not an exhaustive list. Any project not on the approved list must get prior approval to be used for service hours. Any service hours done for an organization in BUSINESS FOR PROFIT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
The religion department is currently doing outreach to different organizations in the River Parishes to inquire if any Covid friendly service opportunities are available. If you’re a member of the Comet Family and have an act of service that you would like to offer to our students, please contact Ms. Chiasson at

Scholarship Opportunity

Amitie is holding the second annual Scholarship Essay Program for students in 9th through 12th grades. While winning submissions will earn cash prizes, ($1000 and $500) the biggest “win” is in helping to raise awareness, removing some of the stigma surrounding suicide and hopefully saving the life of a struggling teenager.

International Travel: Ireland & England
Your student is invited to join their peers for a once-in-a-lifetime travel experience to England and Ireland in the summer of 2022!

We decided to offer this opportunity now to give students hope for a brighter future. While the world might feel like it's filled with uncertainty, we want to give families the chance to look ahead. And to make sure you feel confident making future travel plans, EF is offering a risk-free enrollment period that our group can take advantage of if we enroll now.

There is still space for our big trip! The $300 scholarship has expired and we are using the following link to enroll.
