News from Campus & General Announcements

Special Message...

Dear Comets,

Given these uncertain times, let's all be reminded of Johnny Quinn’s positive and powerful message from yesterday. We must remember to think about “what’s next” instead of “what could’ve been.” He reminded us to embrace change, accept risks and learn to PUSH Through the Barriers, to live life on purpose.

We appreciate the cooperation and commitment on the part of our entire Comet community to work together as we navigate through this constantly evolving and difficult time. I know that there are many students and parents who are anxious and worried about all of this change, as well as the uncertainty about the Coronavirus.
Please know that SCC will do everything possible to ensure that our students are cared for and nurtured just as if they are on our campus.

Also, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. In addition, I ask that we all continue to pray for a swift end to the impact of the Coronavirus and that God’s wisdom guides all of our government officials and health care workers as they lead us through this very difficult time. We pray for God’s guidance and offer prayers for the health and safety of our entire community

Sincerely,
Courtney Millet

Loving and faithful God, the coronavirus reminds us that we have no power and we are dependent on you. We place ourselves in your loving hands. Please give eternal rest to all who have died from the virus. Please put your healing hand on those who are ill, and give your protection to us in this time of fear and uncertainty. Please, calm our fears and help us to trust you as our faithful God. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Our Lady of Prompt Succor, pray for us in this time of need. Amen.
