At St. Charles Catholic High, our primary goal is to prepare your children for life after high school. Today, that means a lot more than teaching students basic skills. We want them to graduate as well-rounded individuals, ready to handle everything life has in store—including college and/or the demands of 21st-century careers and even interpersonal relationships.
That’s why our school has decided to use ACT® Tessera® to help measure and build your child’s “personal skills”—the skills they’ll need for success in the classroom and throughout life after graduation. Tessera is from the same company that creates the ACT college entrance exam. It’s being used by schools all over the country to help students build these skills.
Tessera measures the skills that research tells us are needed for students to take charge of their education, career, and life, and to keep going when things get tough:
On Wednesday, August 28, students will take the ACT Tessera Assessment which will help students to learn about themselves in respect to skills listed above. This new program will be incorporated into the Lunch Crunch lessons in addition to our current efforts toward educating the whole student spiritually, physically, & academically.

On August 30, SCC will host the first Lunch & Learn of the year! Mike Patin, a Catholic motivational speaker, will present in the Music Room at the beginning of lunch. If interested in attending, students must sign up using the online form. Come and be inspired by the Crazy Catholic Cajun!

We'd love to have you join us as we seek to put "Jesus Over Everything" this school year!
