Comet News - Thursday January 10
Second nine weeks report cards were emailed to students and parents today. Please be sure to review your child's performance and have those important conversations with your child to support his or her future academic growth and set goals for the third nine weeks. Our SCC parents play a vital role in helping our students succeed in school by being informed and by lending support and guidance. Even though teens are seeking independence, parental involvement is an important ingredient for academic success. This is why we felt that it was important for us to offer a mid-year mini parent-teacher conference night. We hope to see you all at SCC next Wednesday, January 16th from 6:00pm until 7:30pm. Once again, thank you for your support, cooperation, prayers, donations, and service to St. Charles Catholic High School .

NEWS FROM CAMPUS
The SCC Campus Ministry invites you to join us for our
First Friday Parent Prayer Service on January 11 from
7:30 AM -7:45 AM in the chapel .
A member of the Campus ministry team will lead parents, grandparents, and other family members in an adaptation of The Morning Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours. The Liturgy of the Hours is the daily prayer of the Church; and though it is sometimes associated with priests, deacons and members of religious communities, it is meant for all of the people of God. The adapted version we will be praying will take about 15 minutes, and everyone, Catholics and non-Catholics, is welcome.
Although just dropping in is fine, we ask that, if you know that you are
planning to attend, please either call 985-652-3809 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP.
Everyone who attends must sign in at the Front Office
before proceeding to the Chapel.
Comet Friends and Family Club Meeting
And Parent-Teacher Conferences
Set for January 16
Comet Family & Friends Club (CFFC) is excited to announce that SCC will participate in the SCRIP fundraising program. SCRIP is a gift card purchasing program which offers rebate sharing to both CFFC and the purchaser. We only ask that you'll consider using the SCRIP online site or mobile app to buy gift cards for your everyday purchases. We'll offer a brief overview of the program at the parent meeting on January 16, and we'll be available to help families sign up for the program.
"The SCRIP program is great because it doesn't require parents to sell anything, but just by using the gift cards for everyday spending, the money can benefit the teachers & students of SCC."
-Connie Powell, Co-coordinator of the SCRIP fundraising program for SCC
Connie Powell and Melissa Burns are happy to serve the SCC community by coordinating this new fundraiser for the school.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact them at: email@example.com

The CFFC meeting is scheduled to take place from
6:00-6:30 PM & the Parent-Teacher Mini-Sessions are scheduled to last until 7:30. We hope to see you there!

SCC 1st Annual Christmas Party for the residents of Place Du Bourg
SCC sponsored and served at a Christmas Social for the residents of Place Du Bourg. Before releasing for the Christmas Break, the Cheerleaders played Bingo with the residents, and the Starsteppers performed a routine to "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree."
