The Comets scored a big win over the South Plaquemine Hurricanes 43-0. It was Senior Night for fall sports with seniors in football, cross coutnry, swimming, volleyball, cheerleaders, startsteppers, and drumline being honored before the game and at hafltime.
The offense started off hot scoring 36 points in the first half. The Comets started off their scoring with a 1 yard run by Davon Sturgis who had two touchdowns on the night. The Comets the had 2 point conversion on a pass from Dillon Brown to Brandon Kragle. The next score came the first play of the next drive by Samare Scott who had two touchdowns this game one for 29 yards and another for 14 yards. The Comet defense stayed strong and held the Hurricanes which led to a run from Zack Vicknair from 6 yards out for a touchdown.
Kayden Cambre scored the last touchdown of the game on a a 46 yard break away run in the 3rd quarter. After this score the Comets played mostly younger players allowing them to get varsity experience.
The Comets remained undefeated for the season upping their record to 7-0. The Comets will end the regular season on the road at West Jefferson stadium this Saturday against Fisher. Kickoff is for 11:00 AM.
