2018 Tennis Season Underway

The Comets have alredy played four matches as the 2018 season is underway. The Comets have already played Hahnville, HL Bourgeios, and Terrebone on the road.The team was excited to have their first home match on March 1.

Against Destrehan in singles matches Kassidy Terrio won 7-5, 7-6 and in doubles Grace Vicknair and Sejal Patel won their match 6-4.

In the Hahnville A.J. Iyer won his singles match 8-4, in the HL Bourgeioss match Robert Newsome and Claude Hill won their singles 6-3 ,6-4. In the Terrebone match Ishon Ayer and A.J. Ayer won their doubles match 6-4 , and in singles Shana Breaux won 10-8.

The Comets will play two home matches next week. On Tuesday The Comets will play Central Lafourche and on Thurday the Comets will play Thibodaux. Both matches will be at Belle Tere.

Comets defeat Central Lafourche

The Comets were triumphant over Central Lafourche on Tuesday, March 6, at Belle Terre.

Claude Hill and Robert Newsome won singles 6-0, 6-3. Cordelle Rojo and Robert Newsome won their proset match 8-1. Ishon Ayer and Cordell Rojo won another proset 6-1,6-0. Sophia Simon won ladies singles 6-4,6-4, Hanna Babin and Madonna Trin won ladies proset 8-6 

The Comets will play at Belle Terre at 3:00 on Thursday, March 8, against Thibodaux. 

 Comets Takedown Thibadeaux

The Comets put up a strong fight against Thibadeaux on Thursday,March 8, at Belle Tere.

Claude Hill won his singles 7-6, Bobby Newsome won his singles 6-0, and in Boys doubles Ishon Ayer and Cordell Rojo won 6-7,8-6.

In girls April Broulet and Sophia Robicheaux won their doubles 10-8,and Haily Hilbun and Madona Trihn also won their doubles 8-4. 

The Comets will be traveling to Houma to play Ellender High this Thursday at 3pm Good Luck 

Tennis Double Header

The Comets took on E.D.White on Tuesday March 20 at Nichols and South Terrabone on Thursday March 22 at Home in boys singles Bobby Newsome won 7-6, 6-3 and in girls singles Shana Breaux won her singles 7-6, 6-2.

At the South Terrabone tournement April Broulet and Sophia Robicheaux won girls doubles 8-5.

The Comets will be on the road to take on Assumption High at 3 pm Good Luck!

Comets beat Assumption 

The Comets took on Assumption at home on Tuesday March 27, at Belle Terre. Claude Hill won his singles 6-2 and Bobby Newsome won his singles 6-0. In boys doubles Ishon and A.J. Iyer won 7-6 and in girls singles Kassidy Terrio won 6-0. The Comets will be home to play South Lafourche at 3pm  on Tuesday, April 3, and on Thursday, April 5, against Ellender High and E.D.White. Holiday Roundup

The Comets hosted Ellender Memorial on April 4 over the Easter holiday, Claude Hill and Robert Newsome won their singles 8-2, and in boys doubles Ishon Ayer and A.J. Ayer won 8-4 , Ishon Ayer and Cordell Rojo also won their doubles 8-4. In girls singles Kassidy Terrio and Shana Breaux won 8-3,8-0.

In girls doubles Hailey Hilbun and Grace Vicknair won 8-6. The Comets will play at and aginst South Terrebone on April 10 at 3 pm.  

Comets Go To Regionals

The Comets took on South Terrebone on Tuesday April 10, in boys singles Robert Newsome won boys singles 6-1, and in boys singles Cordelle Rojo and Claude Hill beat there opponets 6-3. In girls singles Kassidy Terrio won 6-2, and in doubles Sophia Robicheaux and Sajel Patel smashed there opponets 8-6. And at the Assumption tournement Robert Newsome won 6-1 .

The Comets will be on the road to regionals at UNO on Monday April 16 in boys and girls singles Claude Hill, Robert Newsome, Kassidy Terrio, and Shana Breaux, the doubles teams are Ishon Iyer and Arjon Iyer, April Bourlet and Sophia Robicheaux , Hanna Babin and Sophia Simon , and Haily Hilbun and Sejal Patel. Altertnates will be Cordell Rojo, Grace Vicknair, Bailey Bourgeois , and Madonna Trinh. Good Luck Comets Bring a win back home!

Comets Go To State!

The Comets were on the road Monday April 16 for regionals and smashed the competition and are now headed to state!, the regionals winners were Kassidy Terrio in girls singles 6-2 and in boys doubles A.J. and Ishon Ayer won 6-3. The tennis team is now headed to state the state qualifiers are Claude Hill, Robert Newsome and Kassidy Terrio in singles and in doubles A.J. and Ishon Ayer, the Comets will be on the road to state Thursday April 26, and Friday April 27 .
