Comets Win First Playoff Game Vs Teurlings

St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity defeated Teurlings Catholic 5-1 on Tuesday. 

They opened up scoring in the first inning. Olivia Keating drew a walk, scoring one run.

Taylor Perilloux led the Comets to victory on the rubber. She allowed two hits and one run over seven innings. 

St. Charles tallied one home run on the day. Madison Hebert had a four bagger in the third inning.

Brooke St. Pierre went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity in hits.

Comets Face Tough Loss Against Covington

The Comet's effort to come back from down four runs in the second inning came up just short, as they fell 4-3 to Covington on Tuesday. They scored three runs in the failed comeback on a single by Lauren St. Martin in the third, a double by Taylor Perilloux in the fifth, and a single by St. Martin in the sixth.

Kelsie Williams was in the pitcher's circle for St. Charles. She lasted four and a third innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out three. Perilloux threw two and two-thirds innings in relief.

The Lady Comets racked up ten hits on the day. Blakely HeltzSt. Martin, and Perilloux each had multiple hits for St. Charles Comets. PerillouxSt. Martin, and Heltz each managed two hits to lead St. Charles. The Comets didn't commit a single error in the field. Sydnie Sims had the most chances in the field with eight.

 

The Lady Comets will play in the first round of playoffs Tuesday, April 16 @ HOME for 4:30pm. 

Lady Comets Big Victory Over E.D. White

The Lady Comets put up nine runs in the fourth on its way to a 15-2 victory over E.D. White on Monday. St. Charles's big bats in the inning were led by a walk by Taylor Perilloux, a single by Kelsie Williams, a sacrifice fly by Blakely Heltz, by Sydnie Sims, and a double by Cassie Remondet.

The Comets got things moving in the first inning, when Madison Hebert doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Perilloux pitched the Comets to victory. She lasted five innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out five and walking zero.

St. Charles collected eight hits. Brooke St. Pierre and Sims each had multiple hits for the Lady comets. St. Pierre went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity in hits.

St. Charles Fall To De La Salle

A walk-off left St. Charles on the wrong end of a 7-6 defeat to De La Salle on Wednesday. The game was tied at six with De La Salle batting in the bottom of the eighth when an error scored one run for De La Salle.

The Lady Comets collected seven hits and De La Salle had 11 in the high-scoring affair.

In the top of the seventh inning, St. Charles tied things up at six when Taylor Perilloux grounded out, scoring one run.

Kelsie Williams took the loss for the Comets. She lasted two and a third innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out one and walking one.

Perilloux started the game for St. Charles. She surrendered six runs on ten hits over five innings, striking out four.

The Lady Comets collected seven hits. Brooke St. Pierre and Lauren St. Martin each had multiple hits for St. Charles. St. Martin and St. Pierre each collected two hits to lead the Comets.

Lady Comets Victory Over Ursuline Academy

Taylor Perilloux did the opposing team no favors on Tuesday, picking up five hits over five at bats and leading the Comets to a 18-3 win over Ursuline Academy. Perilloux doubled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the third, singled in the fifth, and doubled in the fifth.

In the first inning, St. Charles got their offense started. Lauren St. Martin grounded out, scoring one run.

The Lady Comets put up eight runs in the second inning. Brooke St. PierrePerillouxMadison HebertSydnie SimsBlakely Heltz, and Alyssa Hooge each drove in runs during the inning.

Comets Claim Victory Over Covington

St. Charles Catholic Comets grabs lead in sixth inning for victory over Covington. 

The Comets snagged a late lead and defeated Covington 6-5 on Sunday. The game was tied at three with St. Charles batting in the top of the sixth when Lauren St. Martin doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

The Lady Comets got on the board in the first inning when Madison Hebert singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

After the Comets scored two runs in the top of the seventh, Covington answered with two of their own. St. Charles scored when Olivia Keating tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Blakely Heltz singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. 

Taylor Perilloux led the St. Charles Comets to victory in the circle. She allowed 12 hits and five runs over seven innings, striking out four.

The Comets racked up nine hits on the day. Hebert and Heltz all had multiple hits for the team. Hebert led St. Charles Comets with three hits in four at bats. The Lady Comets were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Sydnie Sims made the most plays with ten.

Lady Comets Blow Out St. James

St. Charles Lady Comets scored six runs in the second on its way to an 11-1 victory over St. James on Thursday.

The offensive onslaught by the Comets were led by Alyssa HoogeBrooke St. PierreTaylor PerillouxMadison Hebert, and Olivia Keating, all driving in runs in the frame.

The Comets scored six runs in the second inning. HoogeSt. PierrePerillouxHebert, and Keating each had RBIs in the frame.

St. Charles Catholic Comets were outdone by Archbishop Hannan on Wednesday losing 6-3

St. Charles had all cylinders firing on offense on Saturday, winning big over Archbishop Chapelle 12-2. They got things moving in the first inning when Taylor Perilloux singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Cassie Remondet pitched the Lady Comets to victory. She surrendered two runs on six hits over five innings, striking out two and walking zero.

The Comets launched one home run on the day. Madison Hebert had a four bagger in the second inning.

4-Hit Day For Perilloux As St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity Skirts Past Fisher.

Taylor Perilloux collected four hits in four at bats, as the Comets defeated Fisher 16-1 on Friday. Perilloux singled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the third, and doubled in the fourth. St. Charles got things started in the first inning when Perilloux singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity notched five runs in the second inning. Perilloux and Madison Hebert each had RBIs in the big inning.

Kelsie Williams pitched for the Comets to victory. She went four innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out four and walking one.

Lady Comets Victory Over Haynes

Despite allowing three runs in the third inning, St. Charles defeated Haynes Academy 12-5 on Thursday. 

St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity notched four runs in the seventh inning. The Comets offense in the inning came from singles by Blakely Heltz and Brooke St. Pierre. 

Taylor Perilloux took the win for St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity. She went seven innings, allowing five runs on nine hits and striking out two.

The Comets totaled 16 hits in the game. Heltz, Madison Herbert, St. Pierre, Emily Hotard, and Alyssa Hooge each had multiple hits for St. Charles. Hebert and Heltz all had three hits to lead St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity.

Lutcher Tournament 

The Lady Comets went 2-3 this weekend with a win over Teurlings Catholic and Lutcher.

 

Teurlings Catholic

The Lady Comets started the weekend off right with a 16-1 victory over Teurlings Catholic. The Comets collected many hits which got them an early lead in the game.

 

Notre Dame

The St. Charles Catholic Comets couldn't catch up to Notre Dame Saturday morning. The Comets watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 9-0 loss. The Lady Comets struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Notre Dame, giving up nine runs. One bright spot for St. Charles was a single by Brooke St. Pierre in the third inning. Kelsie Williams took the loss for Comets. She went three and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs on four hits and striking out two. St. Pierre led St. Charles Catholic Comets with two hits in three at bats.

 

Lutcher

St. Charles Catholic Comets claims lead in sixth inning to defeat lutcher. The Comets stole the lead late in the game in an 8-6 victory over Lutcher on Saturday. The game was tied at five with the Lady Comets batting in the top of the sixth when Olivia Keating singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. St. Charles Catholic Comets collected 11 hits and Lutcher had nine. After the Comets scored one run in the top of the fifth, Lutcher answered with one of their own. The Lady Comets scored when Taylor Perilloux doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Perilloux got the win for St. Charles Catholic Comets. She allowed nine hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out four. St. Charles totaled 11 hits in the game. Sydnie Sims, Lauren St. Martin, Madison Herbert, and Perilloux all managed multiple hits for St. Charles Catholic. Perilloux, Herbert, St. Martin, and Sims all had two hits to lead the Comets.

Bats Blistered As The Lady Comets Defeats Vandebilt

Both pitching staffs had their hands full on Tuesday in a high-scoring affair where St. Charles Catholic Varsity bested Vandebilt Catholic, 13-8. 

St. Charles Catholic Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning. Lauren St. Martin grounded out, scoring one run. St. Charles notched eight runs in the second inning. The rally was led by singles by Brooke St. Pierre, Sydnie Sims, and Emily Hotard, a triple by Madison Hebert, by Blakely Heltz, and a double by Taylor Perilloux. 

Kelsie Williams took the win for St. Charles Catholic Varsity. She surrendered eight runs on ten hits over six innings, striking out seven and walking one. Perilloux threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

St. Charles Catholic Varsity launched one home run on the day. Herbert went for the long ball in the fifth inning.

St. Charles Catholic Varsity tallied 11 hits. St. Pierre, Hotard, St. Martin, and Herbert all managed multiple hits for St. Charles.

Hebert, St. Martin, Hotard, and St. Pierre each collected two hits to lead St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity.

 

St. John 

Nothing came easy for St. Charles Catholic Varsity on Wednesday, as they fell 14-3 to St. John. 

St. Charles Catholic Varsity hit one home run on the day. Madison Herbert went for the long ball in the third inning. Sydnie Sims went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead St. Charles Catholic Varsity in hitting.

Taylor Perilloux threw a gem on Monday for St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity, allowing zero runs and besting Thomas Jefferson by a score of 7-0.

Madison Hebert led St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity to victory by driving in four runs. She went 3-for-3 at the plate.  Hebert drove in runs on a single in the third and a home run in the fourth.

St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Olivia Keating, Hebert, and Perilloux all collected multiple hits for St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity.

St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kelly Campbell had the most chances in the field with nine.

Lady Comets Overcome Cecilia

Kelsie Williams got the win for St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity. She surrendered five runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out four. 

St. Pierre led St. Charles Catholic Comets Varsity with two hits in four at bats.

The Lady Comets easily did away with Kaplan

Comets Win Season Opener

Season Preview

The Lady Comets are back in action as the 2019 season opens up with a team of brand new faces and three returning starters. The Comets will be replacing 7 senior starters, and are anxious to start the season after suffering a  tough loss in the State Championship last season. They will be led by 3 seniors, a roster of talented young players,  and an unmatchable coaching staff. The Comets first scrimmage will be at Dutchtown againt Dutchtown on February 5th. The Lady Comets will return to their home field on Saturday, February 16, for the annual St. Charles Catholic High School Softball Jamboree. Gate prices will be $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students. All games are scheduled for three full innings or 60 minutes.
