On January 17, 2023 the Comet basketball team faced Catholic Pointe Coupee for their fourteenth game of the season. They got off to a slow start and ended the half only up 5 points, 30-25. The Comets then came out and got off to a hot start in the third quarter creating many turnovers and taking advantage of Catholic P.C. mistakes. The Comets would end the third quarter up 50-34. The Comets would go on to win the game 61 - 41 in a great road victory.
