  • The SCC Stagehands are back in buisness after school was shut down and everyone was put into quarantine. They have been diligently rehearsing for the "Comet Connect: Arts Night" on October 22nd. Comet Connect is a new way for young students that are thinking about going to SCC to see what it's like on campus. SCC cannot have their traditional "Comet For A Day" this year due to Covid-19 restrictions. The Arts Night is for students who are interested in any sort of fine arts such as Theatre or Art. "We're trying to show the students that although some restrictions may apply, we can still perform and have a good time as classmates and Stagehands. The students should leave with a smile on their face after an entertaining night with the Comets," said Stagehands President Luke Boucvalt. The Stagehands will ensure that the students are entertained through icebreakers, fun improvisation games, and a mini-performance provided by the Stagehands officers.

The SCC Stagehands elected their officers at the beginning of the 20-21 school year. Stagehands members that are in a good and favorable position to be an officer are allowed to run.

  • The SCC Stagehands is open to all students who enjoy theatre. Its mission is to encourage students to experience a variety of performing arts and support student participation in theatrical activities. The club meets a few times a quarter. Students are expected to actively participate in club fundraisers for the major Spring Production. Its members may be called upon to help with the yearly school production (in March) and actively participate in any fundraisers. The motto of the SCC Stagehands is "there is a place for everyone in theatre". Membership dues ($10/$5) secure a student's place in the club and an optional T-shirt is available to order. Any student who is intrestred in joining the Stagehands for the school year should stop by the bookrack outside the main office to pick up a membership Application.
