Ron Courtade

Mr. Courtade has been at SCC since August 2010. He teaches 11th grade Religion (Catholic Moral Theology and Catholic Social Justice), “Law Studies,” and “Law and Morality.” Outside the classroom Mr. Courtade serves on SCC’s Campus Ministry Team, and he moderates SCC’s Video Game Club and Respect for Life Club.

After graduating from Archbishop Rummel High School, Mr. Courtade earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas, a Juris Doctorate from Tulane University Law School, and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Notre Dame Seminary. Prior to teaching at SCC, Mr. Courtade practiced law for 15 years and has taught at Brother Martin High School and St. Mary's Dominican High School in New Orleans.

Mr. Courtade’s primary motivation is to hand on the Catholic faith to young people and challenge them to be C-U-A-L (pronounced "cool"). Christians are Christian disciples who seek to Understand their faith, voluntarily Accept it and passionately Live it!
