Academic Games

  • In 2018, St. Charles Catholic joined the New Orleans Academic Games League (NOAGL).   Started in 1966 and incorporated as a non-profit in 2010, the New Orleans Academic Games League inspires students to become critical thinkers through friendly competition in challenging mathematics, language arts, and social studies games.

SCC students in Grades 8 through 12 compete against other teams from over a dozen schools in the Greater New Orleans metro area in   a series of Academic Games competitions culminating in the AGLOA National Tournament in late spring each year. The national tournament is held in a different location from year to year. Players from around the country who qualify for nationals gather together and compete in several academic games to see which are the best teams and who are the best individual players.
