  • SCC Keeps Kids Active, Engaged and Learning at Summer Camps

    Make the most of your summer at St. Charles Catholic High School. SCC Summer Camps are great because they promote activity, resiliency, and creativity.  These camps will keep children busy, build character, and expose students to new activities and experiences.  These summer camps also provide great opportunities to unplug from our high-tech world.  When students take a break from the Internet, TV, video games, and cell phones, they rediscover their creative powers, gain confidence, engage with their peers, and develop socially.  Friendship, fun, and fellowship start at SCC Summer Camps!

    BASEBALL CAMP

    The SCC Baseball Camp will be held Monday, June 3rd – Wednesday, June 5th, from 9 a.m. to Noon each day for boys age 6-13. Campers will enjoy three days of fun and instruction in the areas of fielding, hitting, and base running. The cost is $75 and includes instruction, as well as a Comet Baseball T-Shirt.     BASKETBALL CAMP

    St. Charles Catholic Basketball Camp for boys and girls will take place on the following dates:
    Ages 8-11: Monday, June 3rd – Thursday, June 5th from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. Ages 12-15: Monday, June 10th - Thursday, June 13th from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.

    All SCC Basketball Camps are run by head coach Kemper Todd, coaching staff, varsity players, and varsity alumni. Cost is $100 dollars and includes a camp basketball. Trophies will be awarded for 3/3 and 5/5 competition, as well as for a shooting competition. Fundamentals of the game are emphasized in a high intensity, competitive, and enthusiastic environment. All camps will be run in the newly renovated gym on the campus of SCC. Goals will be at an appropriate height to maximize shooting form and fundamentals. Registration will be capped at 60 so that eachcamper can receive maximum individual attention.     STARSTEPPER MINI-CAMP

    The Starsteppers Mini-Dance Camp for girls 4-13 years of age will held June 10th – June 13th from 9 a.m. to Noon. The cost is $50 and includes dance instruction, last day performance for parents, camp T-shirt, and refreshments. The dancers will have a dance technique class every morning, and classes will focus on jazz dance, kick dance, prop dance, and other themes. Advance registration is preferred, and registration forms can be mailed or delivered to school at 100 Dominican Dr., LaPlace, Louisiana 70068.     CHEERLEADER MINI-CAMP

    Cheerleader Mini Camp is scheduled for June 17th – June 20th from 9 a.m. to Noon. The cost is $50 and includes cheer instruction, camp T-shirt, last day performance for parents, and snacks. The camp is open to ages 4-13. Advance registration is preferred, and registration forms can be mailed or delivered to school at 100 Dominican Dr., LaPlace, Louisiana 70068.     FOOTBALL CAMP

    SCC Youth Football Camp for 7-13 year old boys will run July 15th, 16th, 18th, and 19th (No camp on Wednesday) from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Coach Frank Monica and his football staff will teach proper football fundamentals, weight training, and conduct speed drills. Special features include camp t-shirt; Hammer Award presented to camper each day; Comet ball games held daily with a Super Bowl Champion; and The Great Relay Race!     SOCCER CAMP

    The SCC Soccer Camp will be held the last week in June from June 24th through June 28th from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. each day. Camp is offered for children ages 4-13, either for individual days ($20.00) or whole week ($80.00). We aim to provide your child with opportunities to improve his/her soccer abilities during skill games with a participant-coach ratio of less than 6:1.
