Welcome To Guidance
The SCC guidance department helps students to chart a challenging high school experience. The goal of our counseling program is to focus on the specific needs and concerns of our students and to educate students to plan a long term pathway for success and purpose.
Mr. Tregre is in his eighth year working with students and families at SCC. Mr. Tregre is a graduate of Nicholls State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in psychological counseling. Prior to working at SCC, his experience included working in a hospital setting and providing counseling services to clients in a community mental health agency, as well as completing an internship at Catholic Charities. Mr. Tregre has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2009.
At SCC, Mr. Tregre serves as the Individual Needs Coordinator as well as the test accommodations coordinator for standardized tests such as ACT and AP.
Mrs. Bologna, the college advisor, is in her 21st year working with students and families at SCC. The College Counseling office provides students and their families with guidance, support, and resources throughout their high school experience. Students are empowered and informed to make a personal “best fit” choice for their post secondary path. The guidance and counseling culminate in the senior year, with intensive assistance in navigating the college application and scholarship processes.
