Kimberly Stuart

Kimberly Stuart is a 2009 graduate of St. Charles Catholic High School. She received her Bachelors degree from Southeastern Louisiana University, where she majored in English Education and minored in Creative Writing.

While at SELU, she was able to work under nonfiction and fiction writers such as Dr. Richard Louth and Tim Gautreaux. In 2014, she won the D. Vickers Creative Writing Award, an honor presented to one outstanding writer each year. Along with teaching,  she is working as an active writer with published  work in various journals. She also co-directs the small press River Glass books.

This is Mrs. Stuart's fifth year of teaching. At SCC, she teaches 8th grade English and Reading and 9th grade reading. She is the sponsor of the Jr. Beta Club and the co-sponsor of the the Creative Writing Club.
