Ken Richard teaches Religion IV, II and Spanish I. Mr. Richard is a 1986 graduate of Mercy Cross Catholic High School in Biloxi, Mississippi.  He earned a B.A. in Philosophy with a minor in English Literature from St. Joseph Seminary College in 1990 and a M.A. in Theology from Notre Dame Seminary in 2002.  After he graduated from St Joseph’s, he returned to his Alma Mater Mercy Cross to teach in the 1990-1991 school year. After that, he taught at Catholic High of Baton Rouge from 1993-1999 and then at St. Paul’s in Covington for the 1999-2000 school year. From 2000 to 2003 he was the Associate Director of the Office of Religious Education in New Orleans in service to catechetics in the parishes and schools. From 2003 to 2015, Mr. Richard was the local representative for RCL/Benziger a national publisher of Catholic books. From the moment he left the classroom, Mr. Richard knew he would one day return to teaching. He is very grateful to St. Charles Catholic for allowing him to return to what he considers his vocation and is thrilled to be practicing it among such an excellent faculty and staff and with this amazing group of young men and women who make up the SCC student body.
