Financial Aid
Financial aid applications for the 2025-2026 school year will be a completely online process. Only those families who have fully completed the 2025-2026 registration process will be able to apply.
St. Charles Catholic High School is committed to helping families enroll their children in a Catholic school. Therefore, the school has a limited amount of funds budgeted for tuition assistance. TADS is the financial aid agency partnering with St. Charles Catholic to provide a confidential and independent financial analysis to assist SCC administrators in determining financial aid eligibility and need.
Tuition assistance award notification will come directly from the school in June 2025. Any tuition assistance awarded will be reflected in an adjustment (credit) to the tuition/fee order in your Gulf Coast Bank online account, as well as to your loan account (if applicable).
For further information or questions, please email SCC Accountant Brittany Gaubert @ gaubert.brittany@stcharlescatholic.org or call 985-652-3809.
School Based Tuition Assistance
SCC will be utilizing TADS to process online financial aid applications for parents applying for tuition assistance from the school. TADS provides a secure, online, independent financial analysis to assist schools in determining financial aid eligibility.
Please note: Because the ARETE scholarship organization also uses TADS for its applications for 2025-2026, TADS can process the information from the ARETE application for SCC’s financial aid. If you have already completed an application for the ARETE scholarship, there is no need to complete another one for the school’s financial aid award. You will only be eligible for SCC assistance if you do not receive an award from ARETE.
How do I apply for tuition assistance from SCC?
You may begin to submit applications starting April 15, 2025. You will be able to initiate applications on TADS until May 15, 2025. Your completed application process, which includes submitting all required documentation, must be finalized by May 23, 2025.
To begin the online process, go to https://secure.tads.com. If you are already set up as a “user” on the TADS, you may use your existing email and password. In order to create a TADS account, click on “Create a New Account” button. On the next page, click on the link titled “click here to apply for financial aid” at the top of the page. This will take you to the Create Account page where you will input the requested information.
After submitting the information, you will land at a Welcome screen which explains the four phase process. You can begin the application process by selecting the state and town of the school, then selecting St. Charles Catholic. You will be required to answer all questions asked on the application and upload any document information requested. You will also be required to pay a fee for the application. This fee is payable to TADS and not to SCC.
Once you submit your online application and fee payment, you will receive a confirmation email from TADS. If additional information or documentation is required, you will be contacted by a TADS representative at the email address or phone number provided.
Once the review of your application has been completed, your information will be forwarded to the school for a final determination in awarding tuition assistance and you will be notified by the school of the results of your application. You will not receive tuition assistance results from TADS.

Louisiana State Scholarship for Excellence Program
The Louisiana Scholarship Program empowers low-income families with the same opportunity as more affluent parents already have – the financial resources to send their child to the school of their choice.
Launched in 2008 in New Orleans, the Louisiana Scholarship Program, formerly known as the Student Scholarships for Education Excellence Program, was expanded statewide in 2012. Annually, more than 12,000 students applied for a Scholarship and nearly 7,200 students accepted a Scholarship and enrolled in a participating, state-approved private school.
To be eligible for a Scholarship, students must have a family income that does not exceed 250% of the federal poverty guidelines and must be entering kindergarten or enrolled in a public school with a C, D, or F grade. For more information about the State Scholarship Program go to www.louisianabelieves.com/schools/louisiana-scholarship-program
From the “Payment” page, you will be required to enter your bank’s routing number and your bank account number to process the non-refundable $40.00 application fee.
Once you submit your online application, you will receive a confirmation email from Gulf Coast Bank. If additional information or documentation is required, you will be contacted by a bank representative at the email address or phone number provided.
Once the review of your application has been completed, your information will be forwarded to the Office of Catholic Schools for a final determination on tuition assistance, and you will be notified. You will not receive tuition assistance results from Gulf Coast Bank.
