Mu Alpha Theta

Students interested in joining Mu Alpha Theta may pick up an application in room 146 or from Mrs. Hart. Requirements for membership are completion of Algebra 1 and Geometry, completion or enrollment in a more advanced math course, and at least a B average (C average for honors) in math courses.

Mu Alpha Theta is open to any SCC student who has completed both Algebra 1 and Geometry, has completed or is enrolled in an advanced math course, and has at least a 3.0 average in all math courses. Monthly meetings include math competitions, on-line math contests, and a Pi Day pie eating contest. Annual dues are $15. The club is moderated by Mrs. Loretta Hart.
