The camp has a new theme each year. This year’s theme was “Let’s Go.”This is from Mathew 28:19-20 where it says “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. FCA Girls Black Mountain Multi-Sports Camp

Student athletes from St Charles Catholic and Lutcher high schools joined together to attend the all girls FCA multi-sports camp in Black Mountain, North Carolina. This camp stresses the importance of keeping their faith strong during athletics. A regular day at camp consists of waking up at 6am to get ready for a fun filled day of morning devotional, morning worship, outdoor athletic competitions, huddle time, sports clinics, and free time. Every night, the whole camp participates in an assembly that includes worship, skits, testimonies and an inspiring message by the main speaker. To conclude the night, after worship, the girls would gather in their huddles for a time to wind down and talk about what they learned. The girls nights would end at 11:00 pm in their rooms, for a silent time to reflect on their day.

Every year the camp has a theme; this years theme was “Let’s Go”. The words “Let’s Go”, comes from the bible verse “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20).

Here are some quotes from some of the campers :

“FCA Camp at Black Mountain was one of the best experiences of my life. This opportunity was so great because I was able to grow in my faith and grow to closer to God while surrounded by the mountains and streams, which constantly reminded me of the Lord’s goodness and beauty. Aside from the scenery, I loved participating in the various sports competitions and sports clinics with my friends from school and with new friends I made at camp. Each day in the mountains was filled with competition, prayer, great worship, inspirational talks, and so much more. I believe that all of us who attended FCA Camp in Black Mountain were truly moved by the Lord, and we took what they learned from camp to come back home to spread God’s love and faithfulness in our communities.” said Kelly Campbell.

“FCA Camp was a life-changing experience that helped me grow my faith life tremendously. Being at camp brought me closer to God and helped me engage more into my spiritual life.  This camp was one of the best weeks of my life.” said Destiny Ducote.

"My Black Mountain FCA trip was an unforgettable experience shared with great people. God was calling on us, and going was really life changing" said Madison Hebert.
