Student Life

St. Charles Catholic High School has been a school of excellence for many years, in both academics and athletics.  SCC’s faculty and staff guarantees an exceptional education and a positive atmosphere to all those who enter the hallways.

As a Comet, one will experience many different opportunities.  SCC offers many clubs from National Honor Society to Music Appreciation.  There is a club for everyone, no matter what kind of interests a student has.

The Comets have a long line of athletic accomplishments.  The football and baseball teams traveled to state championship competitions several times, and our softball team won the state title in 2008.  Our swim team won multiple state titles over the past ten years.  The Comet cheerleaders and starsteppers compete in national competitions and have won many national awards over the years.

In keeping with changing curriculums, St. Charles offers an array of classes covering four tracks: standard, academic, honors, and advanced placement.  Additionally, SCC offers EXPLORE, PLAN, and PSAT testing.  Over the past five years, approximately 94% of our students completed the ACT; from 2001 - 2005 an average of 115 students took the PLAN test; and from 2003 - 2006 an average of 49 students took the PSAT.

Our philosophy is to help each other get to heaven.  As a Comet, striving to fly high and shine bright, students participate in many religious activities.  The Comets attend mass once a month, or more if there is a special occasion.  At mass, music ministry fills the gym with praise and worship, and bring excitement to the mass.  Additionally, students also participate in the living way of the cross, several living rosaries, and school wide reconciliation services.  SCC has everything needed to provide a high level education and an amazing high school experience.
