More than 85 percent of St. Charles Catholic students find themselves participating in some type of athletic competition. SCC offers a total of 16 sport teams for students to join. Sporting events are an opportunity for the student body, alumni and parents to get together, forming bonds as they cheer for Comet victories. 

Friday nights alone offer an opportunity for more than 130 young men and women to experience the thrill of being under the Friday night lights. Red dirt of baseball fields stain the pants of players as they slide into home securing a win for the Comets. Lady Comet softball players can be heard chanting in efforts to distract the opposing team. 

Boys and girls soccer players sprint across the field yearning for control of the ball to kick for a goal. Frigid waters do not deter Comet swimmers from giving their all in laps and relays. Basketball players though fatigued and strained, work toward the next two and three point shot. Keeping spirits high, starsteppers and cheerleaders perform and pump-up crowds of parents, alumni and friends as they cheer the Comets to victory.

Athletics bring together many people from all walks of life for one common goal.
