  • SCC Announces Royal Court Members

    St. Charles Catholic High School recently announced the Royal Court members of the Krewe de Charles Bal Masque XXXI, “What A Wonderful World.” The annual carnival ball will be held on Saturday, February 4th at 7pm in the school gymnasium. The Carnival Ball at St. Charles Catholic High School is a tradition for the school and the entire community. Admission is $10.

  • Capital Campaign Groundbreaking Ceremony

    St. Charles Catholic High School will be holding a prayer service for the groundbreaking for the new Chapel and school renovations on December 20, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. We will be joined by Bishop Cheri and the school Chaplain, Father Austin.

  • Shelby Reine Signs With Texas A&M

    Shelby Reine signed her National Letter of Intent with Texas A & M Equestrian at St. Charles Catholic High School. The room was filled with administrators, teachers, students, and family showing their support.

  • iGiveCatholic

    #iGiveCatholic is an online giving event for people across the nation (and the world!) to come together to raise as much money as possible for Catholic parishes, schools, and ministries on one day: #GivingTuesday, November 29, 2016. Last year, Mr. and Mrs. Flynn were the first to log-on early in the morning and give to SCC through iGiveCatholic.org.

  • SCC Crowns Homecoming Queen

    St. Charles Catholic High School students and alumni recently celebrated homecoming. The celebration included a motorcade featuring the homecoming court wearing suits and riding in shiny convertibles, followed by the crowning of the homecoming queen took place at halftime. The SCC Homecoming Court members were voted on by their peers.

  • Johnson Chosen Chevron Scholar Athlete

    St. Charles Catholic High School Senior Kayla Johnson was very recently chosen as the female recipient of the Chevron Scholar Athlete of the Week award by the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club. Kayla was recognized at their weekly luncheon at the The Cannery in New Orleans.

  • 2016 Homecoming

    St. Charles Catholic High School’s homecoming court is always made up of 13 young ladies from grades 8th to 12th. The ladies are voted on by their classmates. The court is presented before the game after the motorcade and again at half-time by alumni escorts. The queen will be announced at half-time. The SCC Homecoming Dance will follow on Saturday, October 29th and is sponsored by the SCC student council. In addition, the SCC sponsors dress down and other activities throughout the homecoming week.

  • CST Recognizes Monica, Melancon

    Cox Sports hosted the Friday night St. Charles Catholic High School game against Central High School on Friday, Sept 23. The Comets won the thriller game over Central 18-12. During the broadcast, COX Sports recognized a student and a teacher from each high school for excellence both in and out of the classroom.

  • Helping Hands

    At St. Charles Catholic High School, the students realize that when tragedy hits despair can set in for many, but it is truly an opportunity for greater love and service to take place. St. Charles Catholic High School links academics to service learning by involving students in helping to determine and meet real, defined community needs. Student action made a difference to many in our community these past few weeks as SCC students worked face to face with those who needed assistance during the recent flooding.

  • Back To School Night

    St. Charles Catholic High School recently hosted its annual Back Night. Over 350 parents came out and followed their child's schedule and met the teachers of SCC. Parents learned about SCC’s dual enrollment program, technology upgrades, and about the “United in Faith” capital improvement plans.

  • SCC Awarded Ecolab Grant

    St. Charles Catholic High School is a proud recipient of the ECOLAB/NALCO’s 2016 Visions for Learning Grant. The goal of this partnership is to encourage and reward creativity and innovation in the classroom. The program provides materials and resources to enhance science classes at SCC. This is the fourth consecutive year that St. Charles Catholic High School is awarded the Visions for Learning Grant. This 2016 project will help our students reach their fullest potential.

  • Vibrant New Look For SCC

    Work will begin soon to give St. Charles Catholic High School (SCC) a $5.7 million renovation. Archbishop Gregory Aymond and the leadership of the Archdiocese of New Orleans approved SCC moving forward with a series of capital projects to improve the aesthetics, safety and functionality of the school. These improvements will ensure St. Charles Catholic remains an institution of excellence in Catholic education for years to come.

  • 2016-2017 Eucharistic Ministers

    Fourteen St. Charles Catholic High School students have completed the basic formation session of the Archdiocese of New Orleans and are hereby delegated to serve as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at St. Charles Catholic High School to minister the Body and Blood of Christ prayerfully and reverently to our sisters and brothers in faith. This delegation extends through the 2016-2017 school term.

  • Miller Wins Essay Award

    Alex Miller, a Junior at St. Charles Catholic High School in LaPlace, was recently recognized as the Knights of Columbus Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest Archdiocese of New Orleans Champion and the Louisiana State Champion in the Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest.

  • Monday, January 16

    Due to unforeseen construction problems, the AC will be out possibly for a few days. Therefore, students may wear Friday dress or PE shorts and tennis shoes with an SCC t-shirt until further notice.

  • Entering and Exiting School

    Students may enter and exit at the following doors in the morning and afternoon until further notice:

    1. West Hall side entrance near Music Room

    2. Back Door of Gym – Students should enter campus through the football ticket booth gate and walk on the sidewalk from the gate to the back door of the gym to enter.
